Our residence halls are friendly and supportive communities where residents live, learn, socialize, and study together. Half of the student population of IDS are living in residence halls. There are three Hostels on the campus. Two are allotted for the female students whereas the male students live in one hostel. There are 3 full-time wardens and 3 full-time asst. wardens who live on the same premises. The institute has developed the policy and procedure manual for the students and staff of the residential hall. The college management conducts regular audits on the quality indicators of the hostels. Feedback from the students and their parents is collected and their perceptions and suggestions are implemented as relevant and justified. There are 6 faculty mentors/wardens appointed to improve the on-campus experience of the students, such as how can they increase their academic achievement, improve their social-emotional adjustment, and develop a stronger ability to build a cohesive community versus those who live off-campus during this transformative time in personal development. The management ensures that they have access to proper nutrition to sustain overall well-being, safeguard against food insecurity, and live in a safe, secure environment, at this crucial developmental point in their lives. To give our residence students unique living experiences we regularly organize cultural and educational programs and social activities. As a part of the facilities, students have active community centres, three dining rooms, two cafes, a convenience store, two athletic facilities, basketball and tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court. And all within a short walk to academic buildings on the campus
