Professor and HoD Prosthodontics

The Director of Academics is one of the senior-most academicians of the institute. He is the chief advisor to the Principals in formulating Academic Rules and Regulations of the institute as per the prescribed guidelines of DCI and the affiliating University. Director Academics addresses all issues relevant to improve the quality of the teaching-learning and instructional process of the institute in collaboration with the HoD of the departments. The issues are concerning curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment evaluation of the student’s learning outcomes. The office of the Director holds meetings on academic matters, records the decisions taken in the meetings, and intimates the same to the institute management. The office also organizes faculty development programs periodically on the latest instructional technology and techniques. It is his responsibility to manage the academic resources of the institute and their effective use. Director Academics is one of the members of the faculty recruitment panel. He works with the academic coordinators to organize orientation programs for students and newly appointed faculty. The office is also responsible to prepare the attendance records and achievement reports of the students. The office also collaborates with the Coordinator of IQAC for collecting feedback from students, faculty, and alumni on the academic criteria. The office collects the data related to students’ academic portfolios and shares the same with IQAC for preparing various documents required for the accreditations and rankings of the institute.
